The primary function of the Human Resources Director is to coordinate HR policies and programs for France and Switzerland with emphasis on employee engagement and retention, development, talent acquisition, benefits, compensation and payroll ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Building strategies with a focus on attracting and retaining talent is a key initiative.

  • Act as a strategic partner to managers for recruiting, retention, incentive programs, and creative staffing solutions.
  • Develop and implement onboarding processes and content.
  • Identify options and solutions to business challenges and workplace issues.
  • Maintain and support company culture and engagement in a fast-growing company.
  • Develop and oversee programs to foster an inclusive culture and diverse workplace.
  • Identify, implement and help support team training and development programs, including management training, develop programs that promotes skill and knowledge improvement.
  • Ensure team safety and security through policies, procedures, training and culture.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to managers and employees regarding engagement, recognition, staff development, and performance coaching.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and business partner to managers, helping to navigate opportunities and challenges across their respective teams including performance issues
  • Implement and support performance management programs,
  • Assist with competitive compensation practices review.
  • Develop job descriptions, salary ranges and hiring timelines.
  • Lead activities for the entire employee lifecycle post hire including on boarding, etc.
  • Provide employees with coaching, counseling, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Assess employee engagement formally and informally and, with senior managers, take action to maintain employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and enhance repeatable and scalable processes to ensure consistent and effective interviewing, evaluation and selection.
  • Identify employee relations/effectiveness KPIs and analytics to analyze retention and engagement metrics.
  • Responsible for participating in or leading other HR related projects and/or initiatives that support the business strategy.
  • Coordinate administrative work necessary to support the smooth communication and handling of employment contracts, internal announcements, HR reporting.
  • Liaise with appropriate external experts when needed to ensure compliance and governance.
  • Any other duties as assigned.


· BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

· 10+ years of HR experience required.

· Prior experience working in a Consulting, Life Sciences and/or Pharmaceutical organization is preferred.

· Must have strong management and team building skills.

· Must have strong English language skills – both writing and speaking. Fluency in French is also required.

· A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced organization.

· Must possess knowledge and demonstrated abilities in employee relations, management development, and talent management.

· Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to interface and effectively influence throughout all levels of the organization.

· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Must have advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.

· Customer focused with a balanced approach, good judgement, organizational astuteness, and strong relationship building skills.

· Some knowledge of workforce analytics is highly preferred.
