We are part of the athagoras group,  European specialist service provider for the clinical and commercial development of healthcare innovations in the pharmaceutical & biotech industry within regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, as well as market access and real-world evidence. We aim to support our clients – private and public/academic professionals in the healthcare field – at all stages of their projects.

Since 2025, Horiana has experienced large growth in its Medical Writing activity and we are looking to expand our team with a full-time permanent position for a Medical Writer.

Job overview

Your position as Senior Medical Writer will enable you to put your expertise to good use in writing deliverables relating to real-world or clinical studies (primarily scientific articles for publication, clinical study reports, study abstracts and posters). You will work as part of collaborative team of Medical Writers and alongside our team of data scientists and biostatisticians.

Profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or medical degree (MD, PharmD). (Candidates with an MSc in epidemiology/public health, biochemistry or related field may be considered with significant medical writing experience.)
• At least 5 years of experience in medical writing in the healthcare field, ideally within the CRO/pharma industry. Scientific publications as co-author.
• Strong knowledge of medial writing principles, methods, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to liaise with partners from other research organizations, pharmaceutical companies and directly with researchers and clinicians.
• Ability to learn new medical research topics rapidly.
• Ability to write in concise, accurate, academic English.
• Bilingual-level English is mandatory (C2); at least working-level of French (B2).
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong team spirit.

Missions

• Interpret statistical reports and review academic literature to write scientific manuscripts and abstracts in academic English.
• Draft, and / or ensure the content and quality of protocols, clinical study reports, non-clinical reports and other deliverables in various therapeutic areas.
• Follow company workflows and participate in the optimization of our standards.
• Liaise directly with clients for the content of manuscripts and the submission of articles.
• Participate in writing project proposals and in client presentations.
• Prepare and facilitate kick-off and scientific board meetings.
